drummers Carmine Appice recently said in an interview that Mike Mars wasn’t getting along with the other members of Motley Crue toward the end of his touring career. appice spoke at length about Mars not being happy that his final tour with the band was “pre-recorded and that everything was on tape,” that Mars Felt flying everywhere was a huge waste of money, and that Mars had his own tour bus.

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx caught wind of the comments and is none too happy with appice. in a tweet, sixx said “Love how people talk FOR us without talking TO us. This is why the media has lost credibility. Obviously by printing BS they make money off of advertising and we’re not into that clickbait game. When the truth comes out it will be FROM üs..#TheFutureIsOurs”

sixx also responded to a fan calling out the media, saying “A washed up drummer trying to speak for us? And bottom feeder media running with it to make money off of lies? Welcome to the sad new world of LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME. Up next for us, a stadium tour in Europe, Australia, Japan etc.”

and sure, appice is appice other Mars is Mars – we used the word “allegedly” in our original article, as it’s all secondhand information. What’s confusing about sixx‘s comments though is that he claims there’s some “truth” to come out… which is weird considering Motley Crue already issued a statement wishing Mars all the best with his health, and not citing any internal issues.

So what “truth” there is left to tell is a mystery, as neither Motley Crue normal Mars have said anything since their original statements. It’s also been five months since Mars retirement – you’d think if something was to be said, it would’ve been said by now.

Either way, if Motley Crue or Mike Mars have anything to say, the world is certainly listening. They’re both household names and their statements will surely not go unheard.
